About
Jay Gala is a Research Fellow focused on developing efficient and scalable AI systems. He holds a dual degree in Computer Science and Tech Management (2024) and previously worked at Intel Habana Labs on inference optimizations for large language models. His early research in medical diagnosis was conducted at IIT Patna under Dr. Sriparna Saha, followed by climate-aware AI work at CVSSP with Dr. Sauradip Nag and Dr. Xiatian Zhu. Currently, Jay is engaged in advancing efficient AI techniques for diffusion language models with Dr. Srikant Bharadwaj at Microsoft Research, with a focus on sustainable and high-performance machine learning.
