This panel will spotlight emerging scholars with ties to Microsoft Research internship and fellowship programs who bring community-driven approaches to other areas of innovation. Featured scholars include Rida Qadri, a grad who looks at collective action and grassroots innovation among Jakarta: Motorbike-taxi drivers; Calvin Liang, who works on health education tech for trans youth; and Ben Ale-Ebrahim and Tristan Gohring, who work on pronouns in the workplace.
